Job placements can begin as early as April 1. Application activity is ongoing.

Students aged 15 to 30 who are planning to return to school in the fall are eligible for free job-search services and self-marketing support to help them find summer jobs in their community. Read more

Summer Jobs for Youth

Application deadlines vary by community
The Summer Jobs for Youth Program helps disadvantaged young people aged 15 to 18 who live in an identified community and meet program eligibility requirements to receive eight weeks of paid employment, including training, between June and August. Read more

Summer Company

Applications open in January and close on June 3, 2013 (or sooner if the program reaches capacity)
Summer Company helps youth, aged 15 to 29, to experience entrepreneurship first-hand by providing them with business coaching and mentoring, and up to $3,000 to start and operate their own summer businesses. Read more

For postsecondary students, jobs are posted between February 17 and 24 with some extensions to March 2. Positions for high school students and most tourism and provincial park positions (combination of high school and postsecondary students) are posted between March 9 and 16 with some extensions to March 23

Aboriginal Youth Work Exchange Program

Jobs will be posted after mid-March.
The Aboriginal Youth Work Exchange Program provides eight-week work placements for Aboriginal youth aged 15 to 24 (up to 29 for persons with a disability) focusing on resource management projects, job skills readiness training and personal development.

Each participant has the opportunity to remain with the program over three consecutive summers, working with the Ministry of Natural Resources and an Aboriginal community and/or organization. Read more
