I'm unemployed or laid off.

Employment Ontario has services right across Ontario that can help you.

Here's how:

Get the skills to succeed: Talk to a professional counsellor and get the help you need to plan your career, get training, and find a job through the Employment Service.

Start a new career: Learn about high-demand jobs and get the long-term training you need to start a new career with the Second Career program.

Start a business: Find out about Ontario's supports for entrepreneurs and small business owners.

Get financial help: If you are in temporary financial need, Ontario Works can provide you with money and help you find a job. Visit Ontario Works or call a centre near you.

Help for older workers: If you live in a region hard hit by the recession and are between the ages of 55 and 64, the Targeted Initiative for Older Workers is designed to help you.

Don't Forget

You should let prospective employers know about the Employment Service program. It can provide money to employers to hire you and help you get back into the workforce.
