The Apprenticeship Innovation Fund (AIF) Call for Proposal Guidelines and the Procedures for the development of Apprenticeship in-school Curriculum Standards and Exemption Tests are attached for your consideration.

Closing Date: September 5, 2008. Extended to September 22, 2008.

Background

The Government of Ontario is committed to expanding the apprenticeship system by increasing the number of new entrants to apprenticeship programs while enhancing the quality of in-school training and accessibility to the trades.

Projects funded under the July 2008 Apprenticeship Innovation Fund, Call for Proposals will create in-school curriculum standards and exemption tests. There are a total of 11 discrete projects with some projects having multiple trades and requirements.

Interested proponents are invited to submit proposals for any number of the 11 projects. Proposals must include all trades listed for each project. It is anticipated successful proponents will be able to start their projects in the fall of 2008.
