Training Fund for Non-College Training Delivery Agents

For non-college training delivery agents, an allocation of $10 million in 2017-18 is offered through two competitive funding streams.

Proposals must clearly demonstrate how expenditures will lead to enhancing students’ Low Carbon building skills. All proposed activities should align with the learning outcomes in the curriculum standards developed by the Ontario College of Trades. Interested applicants are invited to submit proposals to the ministry no later than January 15, 2018 at LCBS.training@ontario.ca.

Apprenticeship Enhancement Fund Stream

Who may apply: Non-college ministry-recognized training delivery agents of apprenticeship in-school training.

This fund provides the opportunity to acquire state-of-the-art equipment and/or update facilities to enhance training and education on Low Carbon building skills. Each successful project may receive up to a maximum of $200,000.

The Apprenticeship Enhancement Fund Stream relates to the Low Carbon Building Skills Training Fund and differs from the regular Apprenticeship Enhancement Fund.

Resource and Professional Development Stream:

Who may apply: Non-college ministry-recognized training delivery agents of apprenticeship in-school training.

This fund provides financial resources for professional development and awareness-raising programs for apprenticeship instructors and to develop new training resources that will enhance student training on Low Carbon building skills. Each successful project may receive up to a maximum of $200,000.
