Pre-Apprenticeship Training Program Guidelines and Proposal Application

The Pre-Apprenticeship Training Program Call for Proposals and Application Guide and associated templates are attached for your consideration.

The Pre-Apprenticeship Training Program supports the Government of Ontario's focus on increasing the number of new entrants to apprenticeship programs while addressing skilled trade shortages.

Projects which focus on youth, the unemployed, women, Aboriginal peoples, newcomers, youth at risk, including youth in conflict with the law, persons with disabilities or other groups traditionally under-represented in apprenticeship programs are encouraged, including projects which leverage public infrastructure investments for training and employment opportunities and projects that emphasize the green energy sector.

Projects funded will support potential entrants to the apprenticeship system who require job readiness skills and trade readiness experience to gain employment as apprentices.

Interested proponents are invited to submit proposals for the development and delivery of pre-apprenticeship training projects across Ontario. Each proponent can submit a maximum of three (3) proposals.
