Apprenticeship Client Service

Co-op Diploma Apprenticeship Program (CODA)

The Co-op Diploma Apprenticeship Program combines a college diploma program and apprenticeship training leading to a Certificate of Qualification.

Employment Benefits and Support Measures (EBSMs)

Literacy and Basic Skills (LBS)

The Literacy and Basic Skills Program provides free training in reading and writing, math, and basic work skills.y

Northern Training Partnership Fund

Ontario is helping Northern Ontarians train for new jobs in emerging resource sectors  like the Ring of Fire and green and innovative technology.

The Northern Training Partnership Fund is comprised of two parts: The Skills Training program for Northern Ontario residents is administered by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities. The Northern Training Partnership Fund – Far North Land Use Planning component is administered by the Ministry of Natural Resources.

Ontario Self Employment Benefit (OSEB)

Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program (OYAP)

The Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program (OYAP) is a school-to-work transition program offered through Ontario secondary schools.

Pre-Apprenticeship Training Program

The Pre-Apprenticeship Training Program helps potential entrants to the apprenticeship system develop their job skills and trade readiness so that they will be prepared to find work as apprentices.

Second Career (SC)

Second Career is an Ontario government program that offers training for a new job, including financial support.

Sector Initiative Fund Program (SIF)

The Sector Initiatives Fund, initiated in 2001, supports sector-based program planning and curriculum development.

Specialist High Skills Major

First launched in 2006-07, the SHSM is a specialized career-focussed program option for students within the requirements for the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD).
