Career Transformation AssistanceIn January 2009, the Federal Government announced through the 2009 Budget two measures designed to provide long tenured workers participating in training earlier or extended access to regular EI part I income benefits
These two incentives will be delivered through the Ontario Skills Development and Second Career Program, eligible to those clients who bring in a Long Tenured Worker letter from Service Canada. All eligible clients must meet with an Employment Ontario counsellor; complete a Return to Work Action Plan (RTWAP) which identifies skills training as the best intervention.
