- In January 2013, there were 11,140,000 people of working age (15 years and over) in Ontario.
- There were 7,388,400 people in Ontario's labour force according to Statistics Canada's Labour Force Survey for January 2013. Thus, 66.3% of Ontario's working age population was either employed or actively seeking employment. This percentage is also known as the labour force participation rate.
- As of January 2013, there were 6,823,000 people working in Ontario, 80.7% of them full time.
- Another 565,500 people were unemployed. This represented an unemployment rate of 7.7% for Ontario in January 2013.
