Not all credentials (degrees, certificates, or diplomas) obtained abroad are recognized in Canada by employers, regulatory bodies or postsecondary schools (and vice versa). That's why you should fully investigate your options before you apply. Contact your school and the Canadian Information Centre For International Credentials for more information. Be prepared to pay international student tuition fees. They're often higher than fees charged to Canadian citizens at Canadian universities. Financial assistance is available. Ontario International Education Opportunity ScholarshipsLast year, the government invested more than $3.5 million to establish over 1,400 Ontario International Education Opportunity Scholarships for students who wish to pursue part of their studies abroad. OSAP For Schools Outside of OntarioOSAP provides financial assistance for studies at approved institutions outside of Ontario or overseas. Check to see if your school is approved.
