Compliance and enforcement

The Ministry of Colleges and Universities regulates private career colleges under the Private Career Colleges Act, 2005 and associated regulations.

Under the Act, the government's Superintendent of Private Career Colleges can issue Notices and Orders to colleges that are not conducting their business in accordance with the law.

Private career colleges that offer vocational training must register their institutions and have their programs approved by the Ministry of Colleges and Universities. Unregistered institutions offering unapproved vocational programs are in violation of the Private Career Colleges Act, 2005.
