University Employment Outcomes, Graduation and Student Loan Default Rates
After University: The Future Is Yours
How many students successfully graduate from university? Do university graduates find jobs? How many students pay back their student loans? These reports show how students have done in programs and universities across Ontario.
Ontario University Graduate Survey
Each year, graduates of university undergraduate programs are surveyed about their success in finding work through the Ontario University Graduate Survey. For several years, survey results on employment rates have been combined with information separately collected on graduation and Canada-Ontario Student Loan default rates to create and publish a set of values – called key performance indicators – that measure results in these areas for each Ontario university.
In 2015, the ministry also published more detailed survey results for the first time, including information on full-time vs. part-time employment rates, employment outcomes for graduates of co-operative education programs, incidences of unpaid internships, graduate salaries, and relatedness of graduates’ employment to their education for 2011 graduates.
For the 2014-15 survey, CCI Research Inc. and Forum Research Inc. began surveying 2012 graduates on behalf of the Government of Ontario. Information for survey respondents is provided below:
