The Ontario government, sector stakeholders and Aboriginal partners recognize the importance of education as a means of improving lifelong learning opportunities and employment outcomes for First Nation, Métis and Inuit people.
Significant progress has been made since the launch of the Aboriginal Postsecondary Education and Training Policy Framework in 2011 (PDF , 3.06 MB). The government's successes to date are the result of strong relationships and collaboration with sector stakeholders and Aboriginal partners. The work accomplished since the release of the framework has built a solid foundation for the road ahead.
