Pre-Apprenticeship Training Program Guidelines and Proposal Application
The Pre-Apprenticeship Training Program funds projects that provide people with technical and employability training needed to enter an apprenticeship program. The program is designed to support potential apprentices who may need job readiness skills and trade readiness experience to gain employment as apprentices.
Pre-Apprenticeship Training projects focus on all Ontarians, including individuals that are typically underrepresented in the skilled trades such as youth (including youth at risk and in conflict with the law), unemployed workers, women, Indigenous peoples, persons with disabilities, newcomers to Canada, individuals from racialized communities, and others.
Proponents are invited to submit proposals to deliver the Pre-Apprenticeship Training Program in Ontario. Proponents must complete and submit the application form, and provide all required attachments, before the closing date in order to be considered for funding under the Pre-Apprenticeship Training Program.
