SUBJECT: Changes for Certificate of Insurance

The purpose of this bulletin is to advise Employment Ontario (EO) Service Providers (SP) of the new submission requirements for Certificates of Insurance (COI).


In the past, the Ministry required service providers to provide one COI with every agreement they had with the Ministry.  This requirement was found to be administratively onerous for service providers that had more than one agreement. 

Effective April 1, 2016, the Ministry now requires service providers to have only one valid blanket COI (regardless of the number of agreements) on file with the Ministry.
