Memorandum

MEMORANDUM TO: Employment Ontario Service Providers

FROM: David Fulford, Assistant Deputy Minister, Employment and Training Division

DATE: March 11, 2016

SUBJECT:  New consolidated Visual Identity and Communications Guidelines for Employment Ontario Service Providers

Effective April 2016, the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities will be introducing new Visual Identity and Communications Guidelines for Employment Ontario service providers.

These updated guidelines replace guidelines developed in 2010 for Employment Service providers in 2010 and those developed in 2007 for Literacy and Basic Skills providers as well as other members of the Employment Ontario network.

Important Changes

  1. The Government of Canada’s Human Resources and Social Development Canada (HRSDC) has re-branded the Canada-Ontario Job Fund Agreement (COJFA) for 2016. This will affect all programs funded under COJFA, including the Canada-Ontario Job Grant and, most significantly, the Second Career and Literacy and Basic Skills programs.
  2. We are re-affirming the link between the Employment Ontario branding and the Employment Ontario Service Promise.
  3. All legal agreements have been aligned to reference the new Visual Identity and Communications Guidelines, as stipulated under Article 8.3.

Timeframe

The new Visual Identity and Communications Guidelines for Employment Ontario service providers will be posted to the Employment Ontario Partners’ Gateway website in April 2016.

The ministry is also undertaking a review and refresh of Employment Ontario products available through Publications Ontario. This work is scheduled to be completed by June 2016. In the meantime, out of stock products will not be replenished.

We realize that your organizations will need time to incorporate these changes. The expectation is that you will have these changes completed by September 2016.

If you have any questions, please contact your local Employment and Training Consultant.

Thank you again for your continued partnership in helping Ontarians to improve their skills and find work.

Sincerely,
