These particulars are posted following the issuance of an administrative penalty by the Superintendent of Private Career Colleges pursuant to s. 39 (1) of the Act for which a review was not requested.

O. Reg. 415/06, s. 45 – Student files

The following omissions were found in a select number of student files: missing permanent addresses, missing record of the results of any academic evaluations and missing verification of having met admission requirements. 		$750
Act, s. 15 (3) – Registrant to comply with conditions

Section 15 (3) of the Act provides “The registrant shall operate the private career college in accordance with the conditions applicable to the registrant’s registration or renewal of registration.” Section 19 (1) of the Regulation sets out that it is a condition of registration that a private career college operator ensure that no student be admitted without meeting the admission requirements for the program. There was no proof for one student demonstrating how the student had met the section 19 admission requirement.		 $750
Act, s. 23 (6) – Changes to vocational program

The following substantial changes to a vocational program were found in student files from this School:
  • A change in the requirements for successful completion of the program and for promotion within the program; and
  • A change in the duration of the program.

Evidence shows a student was charged and paid higher fees than the total amount listed for the Accounting program in the Ministry’s database. The student paid for fees not listed such as a visa fee.		 $750
