These particulars are posted following the issuance of a Restraining Order against an unregistered private career college by the Superintendent of Private Career Colleges pursuant to s. 46(1) of the Act.

Contraventions

The Superintendent has ordered Creative Career Systems Inc. to stop:

  • Operating a private career college without being registered, in contravention of section 7 of the Act;
  • Providing a vocational program that requires approval, in contravention of section 8 (1) of the Act;
  • Charging fees in relation to a vocational program without being registered and having the program approved by the Superintendent, in contravention of section 9 of the Act; and
  • Advertising an unregistered private career college and an unapproved vocational program that requires approval, in contravention of section 11 of the Act.

Required Actions

By December 2, 2013, Creative Career Systems Inc. was required by the Superintendent to provide written confirmation signed by a person with authority to bind the corporation, together with all available supporting evidence, confirming that it:

  • Has stopped operating a private career college without being registered, in contravention of section 7 of the Act;
  • Has stopped providing a vocational program (Certified Personal Support Worker) that requires approval, in contravention of section 8 (1) the Act;
  • Has stopped charging fees in relation to a vocational program without being registered and having the program approved by the Superintendent, in contravention of section 9 of the Act; and
  • Has stopped advertising an unregistered private career college and unapproved vocational programs that require approval, in contravention of section 11 of the Act.

Note: Nothing in this Order prevents the School from providing non-vocational programs to the public.
