These particulars are posted following the expiry of the 15-day period for 2149995 Ontario Inc. o/a Medlink Academy of Canada (“Medlink”) to require a hearing of the Licence Appeal Tribunal under s.19(3) of the Private Career Colleges Act, 2005 (“the Act”). On January 12, 2015, the Superintendent issued a Notice of Proposal to Revoke Registration to Medlink. Medlink did not file a notice to the Licence Appeal Tribunal within the 15-day period. The proposal to revoke Medlink’s registration was therefore carried out on January 28, 2015, pursuant to s. 19(4) of the Act.

Reasons for Decision

The Superintendent has refused to renew the School’s registration because she is no longer satisfied that the School can be financially responsible in the operation of a private career college having regard to its current financial position (section 18(2)(a) read with section 14(1)(d)).

On January 28, 2015, the Superintendent carried out the proposal to refuse to renew the registration of 2149995 Ontario Inc. o/a Medlink Academy of Canada.
