Description

Private Career Colleges Act, 2005, s. 8 (1) Prohibition against providing vocational programs:

The Superintendent believes that the Registrant offered and provided its “Gas Technician” program while the program was not approved by the Superintendent.

E-mails between the Registrant and students, coupled with dates of test scores provide that the Registrant provided the Gas Technician program before the Superintendent’s approval on August 28, 2020.

Private Career Colleges Act, 2005, s. 15 (3) Registrant to comply with conditions:

The Superintendent believes that the Registrant admitted students into an approved vocational program without the students meeting the admission requirements before the program commenced or completed, thereby breaching a condition of its registration.

Private Career Colleges Act, 2005, s. 23 (6) Changes to vocational program:

The Superintendent believes that the Registrant made changes, within the meaning of substantial changes provided by s. 13 (1) of O. Reg. 415/06, to an approved vocational program without first obtaining the further approval of the Superintendent.

The Registrant stated that it had made changes to the admission requirements of an approved vocational program, namely the requirement that a student enter a G3 program or alternatively complete an admission test developed by the Registrant.
