These particulars are posted following the issuance of a Restraining Order against a registered private career college by the Superintendent of Private Career Colleges pursuant to s. 46 (1) of the Act.

Contraventions

The Superintendent has ordered Ottawa Aviation Services Inc. to stop:

  1. providing a vocational program for a fee unless the provision of the vocational program has been approved by the Superintendent. (Subsection 8 (1) of the Act).
  2. charging or collecting a fee in relation to a vocational program unless the provision of the vocational program has been approved by the Superintendent. (Subsection 9 (1) of the Act).
  3. advertising the provision of a vocational program at a private career college unless the provision of the vocational program has been approved by the Superintendent, and

    soliciting another person to enrol as a student in a vocational program provided by a private career college unless the provision of the vocational program has been approved by the Superintendent. (Section 11 of the Act)

Required actions

By December 11, 2019, Ottawa Avaiation Services Inc. is required by the Superintendent to provide written confirmation signed by a person with authority to bind the corporation, together with all available supporting evidence, confirming that they:

  1. have ceased offering and/or providing unapproved vocational programs at any location, and
  2. have ceased collecting a fee for unapproved vocational programs, and
  3. have ceased advertising unapproved vocational programs.
