The Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development has launched a survey to help identify opportunities to improve credential recognition for internationally trained newcomers and individuals certified in another province seeking a licence in Ontario. The survey will gather input from a broad range of partners and stakeholders to help inform options on how the credential recognition system could be strengthened.
We are asking for your support to complete the survey and promote it among internationally trained individuals and those certified in other provinces who have recently moved/planning to move to Ontario, particularly those with a background in a regulated profession or skilled trade. The survey includes questions aimed at both internationally trained individuals, domestic labour mobility applicants and regulatory bodies.
The survey seeks input on:
The Employment Ontario Partners’ Gateway (EOPG) web team is conducting usability testing to enhance the user experience on the EOPG website. Would you be willing to spare 1.5 hours of your time to participate in a usability session to help us test the new designs? There’s no need to prep in advance. At the session, we will give you a set of common tasks to complete and ask you to “think out loud” as you interact with the prototype. At the end of each task, we will ask you a few questions on your experience. By participating, you would provide us with valuable insights into your perspective as a user and help us improve the design before launch. The sessions will be conducted remotely on Microsoft Teams between September 18 and September 29, 2023. If you are interested in participating, complete this form by September 8, 2023 and we will be in touch to schedule a date and time. Thank you, EOPG web team

The Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development is redesigning the Employment Ontario Partners’ Gateway (EOPG) and is conducting ongoing user research as part of the design process. At this stage we invite you to complete a short online “tree test” activity to help us ensure the new site is organized and labelled in a way that makes sense to users.
During the activity, you will be asked to complete a series of tasks by navigating through a text-only version of the site's hierarchy.
The tree test should take no longer than 10 to 15 minutes to complete and all responses are anonymous. The deadline to complete the tree test is Friday, May 5, 2023.
Thank you to everyone who has participated in user research activities so far, including completing a survey, participating in user interviews, and/or completing the card sorting activity. Your feedback is valuable and will help us improve the way we organize information on the new EOPG!
